In recent weeks, several transnational meetings have taken place on EU projects developed and successfully submitted by the Order’s Office in Brussels Hospitality Europe.
On26 and 27 February, the San Juan de Dios Foundation held the first workshop in Madrid as part of the TECH-HEALTH project, which focuses on digital technologies and innovations in the healthcare sector. The event was attended by doctors and healthcare professionals from the Order’s hospitals in Spain, Austria and Poland. Participants were offered a training and education course on modern diagnostic imaging and 3D printing technologies that have brought significant changes to the clinical practice of medicine and surgery.
On18 and 19 March, the San Giovanni di Dio – Fatebenefratelli facility in Genzano near Rome welcomed participants in the PUENTE project. The aim of the project is to receive and integrate Ukrainian refugees in Europe. The project partners developing a joint European model for clinical, psychological and social support for Ukrainian citizens based on their respective local experiences.
From 25 to 27 March, two transnational meetings took place simultaneously: the first as part of the MOVE ON project (Instagram page: @move.on. erasmus.24) in Austria (Graz) and the second as part of the RESTART project in Spain (Sant Boi deLlobregat). The latter project involves facilities run by the Brothers and the Hospital Sisters, where people are treated for problems with alcohol, drugs, gambling or other digital addictions. The meeting in Spain was also attended by representatives of important local authorities such as the Catalan health authorities, the ABD Group (Working Group on Drug Issues) and the Esportsalus Foundation.
