FOURTH PROVINCIAL CHAPTER WEST EUROPEAN PROVINCE

THEME: GO FORTH WITH PASSION TO PROMOTE HOSPITALITY
The opening ceremony took place on Sunday evening, 13th March 2022. 
The Chapter is presided over by Brother Joseph Smith OH, representing the Prior General.
Brother Joachim Erra Mas OH, who is also a General Councillor, is in attendance.
On Monday morning, the Board of Sponsors/Hospitaller Services Group, together with the Chairpersons and CEOs of the various Hospitaller Entities were invited to the Chapter to share some of the achievements and challenges of the past four years. They shared their hopes and dreams of John of God Hospitality into the future.
In the afternoon, a presentation of the Province’s Services in Malawi was given by the CEO Dr Charles Masulani and the Director of Finance and Resource Mobilisation KisaMwafulirwa. MsFebbieKaminyoghe, Finance Manager, was also present.
This was followed by discussion on the diverse range of ministries, with admiration and affirmation being expressed for the quality of services provided.
Through Tuesday morning those present continued sharing on the Malawi Mission. Presentations on the Brothers’ Community Life, and on the stages of Formation were shared by Brothers Michael Newman OH, Jean-Claude Maboko OH and by Samuel Mithi OH. Governance structures for the Brothers and the Hospitaller Ministries were explored with various options discussed.
In the afternoon of Tuesday 15th, the health care and ageing needs of the Brothers was discussed, with the appropriate housing requirements.
