A new Archives page has just been added to our website. This page can be found under the “About Us” section and will be a regularly updated area of our website. Commencing tomorrow a national Archives event entitled “Explore Your Archives” will take place from 29th November to the 7th December; this is an annual initiative of the Archives and Records Association of Ireland, that encourages organisations to showcase items from their archives under daily themes. We will have an article up on those daily themes and items from our archives active on the page from tomorrow.
The event was launched live from the Custom House Visitor centre, Custom House Quay, North Wall, Dublin, on Thursday 27th November. Explore Your Archives’ ambassador is Dr. Mary McAuliffe historian, lecturer and Director of Gender Studies at University College Dublin.
